As stated by spymac: The current iMac line may soon be shaken up and reconfigured, recent rumor and public information suggests.
Just weeks after confirming the discontinuation of the 15" Studio Display, retailers known to Spymac have come forward claiming continued difficulty receiving the low-end iMac CD-RW.
"This is the second delivery in a row that the [iMac CD-RWs] did not come through from Ingram Micro," says one reseller. "They're still available for order but are not arriving."
Although DigiTimes recently reported that 15" iMacs would be discontinued in October, Spymac sources confirmed that none of the other iMac configurations are experiencing ordering irregularities.
Earlier this month, Apple dropped the price of the 15" CD-RW iMac by US$100, bringing its price to $1,199.
"The 17" model continues to sell great," concludes the reseller. "Perhaps this marks the beginning of an additional 17" model to the line?"
Current sources did not immediately respond to questions; more information as it becomes available.
Although I'm not in the market for a new desktop (my 15" iMac is doing fine:D )
I'm excited to see what changes are going to be made to the iMac. I hope the style stays for a while though, I'd hate to see them put out a whole new iMac until mid or late 2003.

Or is it just me?
**edit**
Still down and in about 8 hours my PM is going to have another WU done and if I can't give it back to Berkeley I'm gonna be angry. If the server isn't up in the next 48hours or so I'm gonna get rid of Seti and start folding.
**edit again**
And now its back up.

we have anness.org, so I have steve (at) anness.org. As for AIM names and my own personal domain, I have an amateur radio callsign, and I have never encountered it already have been taken. I hope to get it as a personal website in the near future.

For those who keep suggesting the younger Mac man suggests a younger OS, alright OS X may be younger, but Apple's Mac OS is an older and more established OS than Windows remember. If anything, their ages merely point out the stereotypical users of both Windows and OS X.
Good points: did like the camera recognition, virus and crashing ads.
Bad points: didn't really see Macs much, Windows does have better included apps than calc and clock, (maybe not as good as Mac apps bundled, but unfair IMO).

... they will not allow me to upload the file in any larger than two mb chunks. Is this using their Control Panel? If so, do you have shell and FTP access to the server?
The problem I run into is that because my database is about 25 megs in size...With reference o your thread title: 25MB is really quite a small amount of data, for comparison I regularly work with databases that are several hundred gigabytes in size.
Sean :)

defiantly the touch screen iPod, it's like nails on a chalkboard whenever some one refers to it as the "actual video iPod" as if the current video iPod isn't real or something.

OK, I am no hardware or software genius. Infact, I'm not genius, but I digress.
How, or will the new chipsets affect our abilities compared to now?
And will the award winning "folding widget" get ported?
I knew I should have posted this question here, as opposed to the intel thread like I did..
The widgets will work, but I am excited that we will be able to get the same levels (i hope) as the X86 systems from this point forward.

Question for iBook users:
I noticed iBooks in a few different computer stores that had damaged keyboards. Those particular ones were beyond repair. Because it was with more than one, it made me wonder about how well the things are put together. Has this been an issue with iBooks? Maybe the original iBooks? Or are store customers just overly hard on them?
Still thinking on whether to get a new Powermac or a portable. I'll probably just get an upgrade card and wait another year.

I like Fire better than Adium X, they both have different and similar features, I just prefer some of the features that Fire provides over the ones that Adium X provides.

Chris chmorley,
It's not just Republicans that have strong opinions about stuff they know very little about. Democrats fall into that description as well. There are bull-headed know-nothings in just about every group that you can think of.
